Auto Tune Dab Radio

Dec 18, 2018  Over 90% of the country can now receive DAB digital radio, to re-scan just press the Auto-Tune or Auto-Scan button on your digital radio. If your radio doesn’t have the Auto-Tune or Auto-Scan button, fear not! Press the Menu button, scroll through the options until you find Auto-Tune or Auto-Scan. Select this option and your radio will retune. Mar 03, 2016 New digital radio stations are being launched all the time. The autotune function (or auto scan, or retune - depending on your radio) will find these new stations and store them in the station list.

Mar 04, 2016 It would appear the ability to manually re-tune the DAB stations is only on the newer versions of MMI. Ie Newer 2015 / 16 cars Here is my MMI version: The ability to update the MMI is seperate from the Maps that you download from the Audi website. DAB radios need to be scanned to find new stations. Before you begin, be sure to put the radio’s telescopic aerial right up and vertical. If possible, move the radio upstairs and near a window. If the radio has an auto-tune / auto-scan button, just hold it down for at. I'm sure FM has an auto-tuner/dual tuner too of some sorts. There has been changes in the DAB multipexes recently I think, and few test stations showing (Such as Virgin Radio) along with a few moving around on the network. Perhaps this is why some stations are suggesting to re-tune? Retune your radio! If you know you have a DAB+ compatible digital radio, you may need to retune your radio to find the new stations. Typically this can be done by either pressing a re-tune or auto-tune button or by going in to the menu and selecting scan, re-tune or auto-tune.

Apologies for asking such a stupid question, but how does one go about presetting stations on the Pure Evoke 1? I can't see any option which will let me do it! Any help much appreciated..

Assuming you have already done an autotune to tune in all the stations, put the Evoke on a station you want to keep on a preset. Once the station is 'tuned in' and playing, simply press and hold the number button for the preset you want. Let's say you want 6 Music on preset 6, tune in to 6 Music, press and hold preset 6 and the message 'preset 6 saved' will appear on the display. Repeat as required until you run out of presets.

Tune your radio to the station of choice, such as Radio 2, then press one of the numbered buttons for a few seconds. The display will then say that the station has been saved on the relevant button.
    Hope this helps

I didn't think of holding down the numbered buttons - thanks to you both.

Isn't that the standard way of storing presets on most radios?

It does seem to be now, particularly on car radios and Walkmans. My Roberts R737 still uses the old system, as does my Technics DAB tuner, of pressing a 'memory' button first then selecting the number, then pressing the 'memory' button again to store.

In any case this is something clearly mentioned in the Pure Evoke manual.

I should point out no manual actually came with the product.
